Engine Options
Its engines are one of the things that make the aptly named Chevy Trailblazer a, well, “trailblazer” in its own right. The SUV’s base engine is a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder powerplant that produces 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Next up is a turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine that generates 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. There are two transmissions and drivetrains available with this engine. This powerplant can pair with a CVT and front-wheel drive or a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Cabin Space
Despite its rather petite size, the Chevy Trailblazer has ample room for passengers and gear. The five-passenger Chevrolet SUV has 40.9 inches of front-row legroom and 39 inches of legroom in its second row, which is more second-row legroom than some of the vehicle’s top competitors have.
Behind the back seats, the SUV has 25.3 cubic feet of cargo room. The SUV’s cargo capacity jumps to 54.4 cubic feet if you fold the back seats.
Technology Features
New Chevy SUVs have impressive tech features inside their roomy cabins. A Wi-Fi® hotspot is standard for the Chevrolet Trailblazer, for example, and it enables the SUV to serve as a mobile office as needed. The SUV’s 11-inch infotainment touchscreen is compatible with its wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, while an eight-inch digital gauge display is home to critical system controls.
Safety Equipment
